Forest and Bird Walk

Tui Mine Te Aroha

Meet at Te Aroha Clock tower at 10am, 14th Sept. 

Drive to Tui Rd, park in carpark at locked gate. Walk commences here and is very steep. Climb gently to the top mine, and the Look Out. Lunch? Retrace a little then return to cars by a Downhill track thru bush. Walking time approx 4 hrs. Talk given by Nick Waipara. Lessons learned from kauri dieback mangement  in NZ.  Dr Nick Waipara is currently Principal Advisor and scientist for Biosecurity in the Ak Region and the National Kauri dieback program. Supper provided.

The Waikato Environment Centre is looking for a dynamic creative person to coordinate some of our varied and interesting activities and projects across the Waikato Region.

MAKE Workshop - Make Your Own Cleaning & Cosmetic Products

Would you like to learn how to make your own carcinogenic-free products? We would like an indication of numbers. One workshop is for Cleaning products, and another deals with Cosmetics.

Regular workshops are held just south of Hamilton. alternatively workshops could be held at our centre. 

$25 p.p. per workshop, (approx 1 hour). Mobile workshops are also available, so it could be held at our centre aat 242 Peachgrove Rd, if enough people were interested.  Samples and recipes to take home.Please indicate if you would prefer a weekend date or a week day date.
