ABOUT THE HUI

3rd-6th April 2015 (Easter)

Moving On

Basic Regeneration with Permaculture

This year we embrace Gift Culture, honouring all the gifts we bring to co-creation. Friday we will share a pot luck evening meal, then the following three days will be fully catered with wholesome, local and organic lunches and dinners. We’re planning a blend of talks and presentations, Open Space Technology, PiNZ meetings and plenty of time for sharing stories, making connections and exploring all things permaculture. The Hui is a family friendly event designed to engage all participants. While provision of awesome activities for younger ones hosted by volunteer Activity Coordinators will be available during the days, your kids remain your responsibility throughout the weekend. There is no accommodation at the Hui site this year. After careful consideration of a number of smaller and pricier options around Christchurch, we decided on Central New Brighton School Hall to keep the ticket prices as low as possible, the hui easily accessible and open to more people. Watch this space for information on lift shares, accommodation and billeting options, coming soon. Planning the 2015 Hui has been a great adventure so far.... we invite you to join us for a long weekend of learning, sharing and dancing!

ACCOMMODATION

Because our venue is a school (even though it has closed), on-site accommodation is not permitted. You will no doubt be aware that accommodation is at a premium in Christchurch, and unfortunately the nearest campground to the venue is full of people still unable to live in their homes. We are asking attendees to organise their own accommodation, but will attempt to facilitate billeting. Chhristchurch residents - you may not have a spare room, but can you provide toilet, shower and breakfast facilities for someone camping on your lawn or sleeping in their van in front of your place?

Walking in the Customer's Shoes survey opportunity

We would like to invite you to participate in an online survey.

The NZ Transport Agency would like your views on the condition of roads and footpaths that you use, to shape the research behind future improvements.

It is a confidential 15 minute survey, developed to better understand user needs.

We’d also like to encourage you to pass this survey on to as many other users of roads and footpaths as you can - whether they are walking, pram, bicycle, wheelchair, scooter, motorbike, car or other users - to help us get a comprehensive overview and make better informed decisions to benefit all users.
